RDP VAE Redispersible Polymer Powder/Redispersible Latex Powder

Overview:

Redispersible latex powder is a white solid powder made from polymer lotion by spraydrying, and is an indispensable additive in dry mixed mortar. Suitable for mixed use withother inorganic adhesives such as cement, lime, and gypsum, or as a separate bondingcomponent, for manufacturing flexible building adhesives, wall and ground levelingmaterials, joint fillers, plastering, and repair mortar.

Main features of RDP VAE Redispersible Polymer Powder/Redispersible Latex Powder:

Improved Adhesion: Redispersible polymer powder significantly enhances the adhesion properties of mortars and building materials, promoting better bonding to a variety of substrates such as concrete, wood, and ceramic tiles.

Increased flexibility: The addition of RDP gives the final product greater flexibility, reducing the risk of cracking and enhancing the material’s ability to withstand structural movement and vibration.

Water Resistance: RDP has excellent water resistance, making it a reliable choice for applications where moisture is a concern. This feature ensures the longevity and durability of the finished structure.

Enhanced Processability: The powder form of the polymer allows for easy and uniform dispersion in dry blend formulations, improving processability during application. This is particularly beneficial for achieving a consistent and high-quality finish.

Improved impact resistance: Redispersible polymer powders improve the impact resistance of mortars and coatings, making them ideal for exterior applications that must resist harsh weather conditions.

Applications of Redispersible Polymer Powder /Redispersible Latex Powder(RDP/VAE)

Tile Adhesives and Grouts: RDP is widely used in the formulation of tile adhesives and grouts to enhance the bond strength and durability of indoor and outdoor tile surfaces.

Exterior Insulation and Topcoat Systems (EIFS): In EIFS applications, dispersible polymer powders improve the flexibility and adhesion of the topcoat, providing a durable and weather-resistant exterior finish.

Self-leveling compounds: RDP is an important component of self-leveling compounds and helps improve flow and leveling characteristics, resulting in a smooth, even surface.

Repair Mortar: Adding RDP to repair mortar enhances its adhesion, flexibility, and overall durability, allowing it to effectively repair and restore concrete structures.

Gypsum-based products: In the manufacture of gypsum-based products such as plaster and joint compounds, dispersible polymer powders improve workability and adhesion, resulting in high-quality finishes.
